Obituary for George Edward Scherzer Sr.
George Edward Scherzer, Sr., 87 of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, May 28th, 2022. George was a graduate of Flaget High School and Bellarmine University.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Anna May (Bishop) Scherzer; his children, Louis Scherzer (Mabel), Cindy Lausman (Karl), George Scherzer, Jr.,(Janet) and Chris Scherzer (Janet), 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 2nd from 4-8pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. His funeral Mass will be 1pm Thursday at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church, 4600 Lynnbrook Drive, Louisville, 40220 with burial to follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
