Obituary for Gerard L. "Jerry" VanHaverbeke
Gerard L. "Jerry" VanHaverbeke, 77, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Richwood Nursing Home in LaGrange, KY.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Gerard and Margaret Crawford VanHaverbeke; his wife, the former Sharon Russell; son, Randall VanHaverbeke; brother, Michael VanHaverbeke and nephew, Timothy VanHaverbeke.
He is survived by his brother, David VanHaverbeke (Revona); sisters, Mary Margaret Frerman (Richard), Jane Beckner (Richard), Doris Marie Schmitt, Sarah Dyroff; and sister-in-law, Donna VanHaverbeke.
He was a graduate of the University of Louisville, a member of Ninth & O Baptist Church, and retired from Citibank.
Jerry bequeathed his body to science in care of U of L. A graveside committal service is planned for a later date.
