Obituary for Gilbert A. Vogt Jr.

Gilbert A. Vogt, Jr., 76 of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2020.
He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and a retired cabinet maker for over 40 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He welcomed anybody into his home and helped countless people in his lifetime. Gilbert was courageous in his battle with Parkinson’s disease and he never complained. The one word to describe Gilbert was kind.The world was a better place because Gilbert was here.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Sr., and Helen Vogt.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gloria Vogt, his loving children, Mark Vogt (Kathy) and Michelle Smith (Neal), his grandchildren, Mark and Matthew Vogt and Kaden Smith, his sister, Margaret Levegood (Mike) and many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID 19 his services and burial will be private.
