Ginger Lee Schal, 66, of Prospect, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2018.

She was born on January 19, 1952 to Charles and Naomi (Clevinger) Looney in Paintsville, KY. She attended Paintsville High School and the University of Kentucky. Ginger married George R. (Rick) Schal on June 7, 1985. She worked for Celanese and Lorillard before becoming a full time mom. She was a loving wife, mother, and sister who enjoyed travelling with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Rick; brother, Dan (Carol) Looney; sister, Donna (Charles) Castle; daughters, Wesley (Evan) Loxley and Stacey (Brandon) Isaac; grandson, Justin Loxley; six nieces and two nephews.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at St. John United Methodist Church, 12700 West Highway 42, Prospect with burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
