Obituary for Hallie Ann Ayres Clark
Hallie Ann Ayres Clark, 87, passed away on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022, at Baptist Health Louisville. Born on July 28th, 1935 in Lewisport, KY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nora Ayres.
She loved socializing, traveling and discovering new things. Her proudest moments were as a wife and mother. She loved to cook and tended to (all) her family while forever gracious and cheerful. Raising her family in Owensboro created the foundation for a wonderful life experience for all.
Her faith was an integral part of who she was as a person. Upon moving to Louisville after our father passed, she restarted her life and became a staple in every community she touched. Her hobbies included golf, tennis, playing bridge, crochet, knitting, sewing and talking (a lot).
Hallie was preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Clark; as well as her brothers, Dennis and Donald Ayres.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Donya Angela Clark York (and Todd); her sons, Thomas Gregory Clark (and Martha) and Brian Andrew Clark; her sister, Lenora Robertson; her grandchildren, Christina, Candice, Natalie, Thomas and Ethan; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many, many friends (Hallie never met a stranger).
Her ashes will be interred with our father’s at Resurrection Cemetery in Owensboro, KY. Further details about Hallie’s funeral arrangements will be shared on a later date.
