Obituary for Harold F. Maddocks

MADDOCKS,
Harold F., 90, of Louisville, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the VA Hospital.
Born in Cleveland, OH, he was a US Navy veteran of WWII (having served aboard the USS New Mexico) and a retired district manager for KY Central Insurance Co. Harold also worked for State Farm and after retirement for Budget Rent-a-Car. He volunteered at the VA Hospital and was a member of St Matthews Masonic Lodge. He loved to sail on KY Lake with The Toy Box and was with the Cruising Club of Louisville. Harold was a Presbyterian by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Carolyn (Wiley) Maddocks; daughter, Sandra Cantrell of Louisville; his 5 sons, Roger of Alpharetta, GA, Richard of North Olmsted, OH, William of OH, Robert of AZ and Bruce of OH; sister, Eileen Malen of Plano, TX; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held at 1 pm, Monday, February 28, 2011 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Sunday at Highlands.
