Helen died Sept. 5th a few weeks short of her 93rd birthday. She was born in West Hazelton , PA. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in medical technology. During her working career, she served in several hospital, laboratory and pharmaceutical positions, including the isotope lab at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. However, her favorite job was caring for her family.

She leaves to savor her memory: her husband, John Kelly; son, James Kelly (Elizabeth); and her daughters, Maura Bosbyshell (Will) and Julie White (Randy)as well as 3 grandchildren.

Her funeral mass will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11th, at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension in Louisville. There will be no public viewing according to her wishes. She was a strong supporter of St Jude Children's Hospital.
