MATTOX, HELEN LOUISE, 94, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2010, while vacationing in Naples, FL.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Anna Worthington; her husband, Cleon "Max" Mattox; and three sisters.
She was the beloved mother of two daughters, Margie Guess (Ralph) and Judy Ackerman (Rick). Helen was devoted to her five grandchildren, Jeff Guess (Michele), Jennifer Weaver (Brad), Eric Ackerman (Theresa), Angela Ackerman (Jack) and Kurt Ackerman (Gwen); and her eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2010. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, at Highlands with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hikes Point Christian Church in Helen's memory.
