Obituary for Henry Thomas Rose Jr.
Henry Thomas Rose Jr, 95, joined his Savior and wife of 67 years after passing away peacefully on May 5, 2018. Born June 26, 1922 in Louisville KY, he was a dedicated member and deacon of Shawnee Baptist Church for 64 years. Henry was a World War II Navy veteran and then worked as a machinist for the K&I and L&N Railroads until his retirement.
He is lovingly survived by his son, Dale Thomas Rose (Deara), his daughter Donna Rose Robinson, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00, Thursday, May 10, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville KY 40205, and also one hour prior to the funeral at the church
Services will be held on Friday, May 11 at 11 AM at Shawnee Baptist Church, 2214 Bank St, Louisville KY 40212: with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.
