Obituary for Ila Miller (Tatum)
Miller, Ila Tatum, 79, passed away on Wednesday June 27, 2018. Ila was a graduate of Manual High School and an honors graduate of the University of Louisville. She taught School for J.C.P.S. for over 30 years.
Ila was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Kenneth B. Miller. She was a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church and the C.B.S. Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Jefferson County Retired Teachers Association and the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association.
Ila is survived by her brother, Hubert “Goose” Tatum, nieces, Kathy Thompson (Bart), Lisa Tatum Wease (Mike), great-niece, Jenna Skipper (Steve), great nephew, Ryan Clark (Manda), great great niece, Carrington Clark, great great nephew, Remy Clark and numerous church friends and neighbors.
The Highlands Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Friday June 29, 2018 from 2PM to 8PM at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Funeral service will be Saturday at 1 PM at the funeral home, with interment to follow at St. Stephens Cemetery.
