Obituary for James L. "Jim" Bond

James L. Bond, died peacefully at his home on June 19th, 2023. Jim was born in Louisville on August 7th, 1954, the son of the late Kathryn and William Bond.

Jim was in the 1972 graduating class of Seneca High School and continued his education at the University of Kentucky. Being only 10 hours short of a degree in architecture at UK, Jim decided to take a construction job in Campbellsville, KY. Enjoying construction, Jim started his own company, Building Concepts, where he did commercial construction. He retired in 2016 and became a building inspector for the state of Kentucky, and worked there until his death.

Jim and his wife of 25 years, Mary Ann, loved boating and time on the water; and he was an avid sports fan, especially UK basketball and football. He acquired the hobby of woodworking and did beautiful carpentry.
Jim Bond always had a ready smile and was there for anyone who needed help. He was a gentle giant, kind and thoughtful. Jim will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend.
