Obituary

Jamshed Pervez Randelia “Jum”, loving father of Jamshed II “Jummy” (17) and Brayden (13), passed away on January 18th, 2019, at the young age of 39 after a relentless battle against an extraordinarily rare disease, autoimmune encephalitis.

Jamshed was born on November 6th, 1979 in Louisville, KY to Pervez and Nancy Randelia, whose unconditional love and strength allowed them to care for Jamshed not only in the beginning of his life but also at the end when his condition prevented him from doing so.

Jamshed was a man of good heart with a kind nature and deep spirit whose smile alone could express a thousand words. He was a devoted family man, a loyal employee of UPS for 17 years, and a lifelong die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Jamshed had a passion for physical fitness even towards the end of his life when his disease challenged his mobility. Jamshed was a true warrior whose profound strength and ability to endure such adversity is an inspiration to all of us.

Jamshed is survived, in sorrow, by his sons, Jamshed II and Brayden; his parents, Pervez and Nancy; brother, Pervez and his wife, Monica; sister, Rashna and her husband, Chris; niece and nephew, Hayla and Cayden; extended family and friends; and the love of his life, Jessica and her daughter, Hannah. His family thanks his amazing team of neurologists and the staff at Brownsboro Norton Hospital who tirelessly cared for him the last few years of his life. While his spirit will remain in our hearts forever, he is now at peace with our Lord.
Visitation is scheduled at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, on Monday, January 21st, 3-7 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 22nd, 10 AM, at St. Margaret Mary Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road.

In honor of Jamshed, please consider, in lieu of flowers, contributing to The Jamshed Randelia Children’s Trust, for which envelopes will be provided at both the visitation and funeral service. Contributions can also be made online at https://www.gofundme.com/the-jamshed-randelia-childrens-trust
