Janeice (Tarter) Davenport, 90 of Louisville, passed away Saturday, September 8th, 2018. Janeice was born and raised in Somerset, KY and a graduate of the University of KY and Eastern KY University. She was a retired School Teacher for Jefferson County Public Schools; teaching at Ahrens Trade, Manual and Eastern High Schools. She was a devoted Christian, a member of Hurstbourne Baptist Church where she taught Children’s Sunday School for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband John P. Davenport, her daughter, Clarice Tinnell, her parents, Lloyd and Lydia Tartar, two sisters, Ivadean Agnor and Wilma Lockett and her brother, Dale Tartar.
She is survived by her son John Davenport (Amy), four grandchildren, Tim Tinnell, Brenda Weber, Morgan Davenport and Meagan Brunner and one great-granddaughter, Abby Tinnell.
Visitation will be Wednesday September 12th, from 11AM to 1PM, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd with her Funeral Service at 1PM at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
