Obituary for Janet Marie Hensel (Ansert)
Janet Marie Hensel, 82, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, May 27th, 2022. Janet was a Louisville native. She was a member of St. Martha Catholic Church and the German-American Club. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. Her Catholic faith was very important to her.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Colleen Marie Johnson; her parents, Ernest and Mildred Ansert; and three brothers, Don, Len and Jim Ansert. She is survived by her children, Michelle Smart (Steve), Dana Dicken (Steve) and Douglas Hensel (Erin); 6 grandchildren, Brandon, Stephen, Elizabeth, Kathleen, Katherine and Victoria; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31st, from 4 - 7pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Her funeral Mass will be 10 am, Wednesday, June 1st, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2042 Buechel Bank Rd, Louisville, KY 40218, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Martha Catholic Church or Mass of the Air.
