Obituary for Jean Lee Gaum (Fritz)
Jean Lee Fritz Gaum, 91, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 1, 2021. She was born in Louisville, KY, to the late Glenn and Dorothy Fritz on April 7, 1930, and is a graduate of Shawnee High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher G. Gaum, after 44 years of marriage; sister Dorothy Elizabeth "Dottie" Lanz; and grandson, Connor Joseph Larimore.
Jean was a faithful member of Christ Church United Methodist, and the Adventurer's Sunday School Class. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend to many, who loved her family deeply, and valued so many lifelong friendships.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Jill Ann Neel and Christy Lee Larimore; grandchildren Carlyn Laurel Neel, Christian Dylan Neel, and Zachary Paul Larimore; great -grandchildren, Josie Mae and Lora Jean Neel; niece, Glenda Lee McCollum; nephew, Gerald Robert Lanz (Lisa), great-niece, Jennifer L. Graham; (Todd) great-great nieces, Merritt and Campbell Graham and dear friends, Marie Underwood and Carol Doerhoefer.
We ask you to join our family in celebration of Jean's life at 11:00am Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Highlands Funeral Home Chapel, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2021.
