Obituary for Jeffrey "Jeff" Timothy Chesher

Jeffrey “Jeff” Timothy Chesher, 62, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Born to Paul and Beulah Chesher, he was a retired Master Electrician for the City of Louisville.

Jeff will be most remembered for his kind heart. He was a member of St. Martha Catholic Church, an avid Kentucky Wildcats sports fan, and loved playing golf, especially looking forward to his annual golf trip to Barren River.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve Chesher; sister, Joan Roberts; nephews, Josh Chesher and Kyle Aubrey; and his beloved dog, Callie.

He leaves behind his loving wife of over 40 years, Susie (McAfee) Chesher; two children, Tim Chesher (Carrie) and Jessica Sanders (Chris); grandchildren, Beau, Lola, and Shea Chesher, and Karter and Kaislee Sanders; siblings, Julie Mohr (Gary), David Chesher (Pam), Mark Chesher (Connie), Nancy Aubrey; sister-in-law, Barbara Chesher; brother-in-law, Bob McAfee (Carolyn); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

His funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2022 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Ln. with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.

The family would like to thank the staff of 3 East at Jewish Hospital for their love and special care for Jeff while he was there.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to KODA in honor of Jeff, who was also an organ donor recipient.
