Wagner, Jessie Marx , 79, of Louisville, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018.

Born in Louisville, Jessie attended Mercy Academy and was a long time parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church . Jessie’s family was her pride and joy. She was the most supportive, loving, and nurturing individual. Jessie was devoted to her husband and children. She never missed an opportunity to celebrate her children and would often be seen cheering on her grandchildren at their various activities. Jessie had the gift of conversation. She never met a stranger. She was unique in wanting to know everyone’s story. She had the gift of making you feel like you were the most important person in the room. She loved her friends dearly and her humor, wit, and laughter will be deeply missed.
Her daughter, Joan Wagner Essex, and a brother, Frank Marx, Sr, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald Ryan Wagner, Sr.; her children, Donald R Wagner, Jr. (Jana), Marcy Wagner Knappenberger (Erik), and Kelli Wagner Thompson (David); her siblings, Sherrin Leet (James), William Wiegand, Jr., and Edward Wiegand (Cathie); She was loved dearly by her grandchildren, Maggie Castor (Henry), Mackenzie Perry (Ryan), Nick Been, David Thompson IV, Annie Thompson, Karaline Wagner, and her great grandchild, Elle Castor.
