Jo Ann Baker (BB), 86, of Louisville, KY, found everlasting peace with God on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at 3:28 P.M. She was born on May 23, 1934, to the late Alma (Honey) and Joseph Becht.
Jo Ann was a devoted Catholic and lived a faith-filled life. She was a member of Saint Martin of Tours Catholic Church and Saint Ann’s Confraternity.
She was a loving mother to Robin, Kelly, and Ricky, as well as an amazing grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was known for her spunk, kindness, and her playful sense of humor.
Her strength, confidence, and love filled the room. She enjoyed gardening, painting, tea parties, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Becht; mother, Alma Pearl Becht (Honey); and her son, Ricky Baker.
She is survived by her two daughters, Robin Maupin (Joe), Kelly Reynolds (Phil); grandchildren, Niki Blevins (Steve), Jason Reynolds, Megan Holsclaw (Blake), Taylor Maupin (Adam), and Graham Maupin; great-grandchildren, Adam, Claire, Jackson, and Lainey; and her brothers, Jay Becht (Sharon), and Joey Becht (Carol).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. 40205.
A funeral service to honor the life of Jo Ann will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2021, 12 P.M., at St Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 639 South Shelby Street, 40202, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
