Obituary for Joan Westerfield (Gasser)
Joan Ann Westerfield, 89, passed away on the 8th day of June, 2021. She was born on May 6, 1932 to Henry and May Gasser. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Dorothy Jane Renfro and Carolyn May Morris; and son, David Westerfield.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 71 years, William J. Westerfield, Sr., and her children. She is survived by a loving family; daughters, Karen Ising, Teri Morgan, Nancye Farmer, Kathy Westerfield; and son, William J. Westerfield, Jr.; sons-in-law, Steve Ising, Wallace Morgan, and Denny Farmer.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew Ising, Nicholas Ising, Garrett Ising, Christopher Jones, Kyle Westerfield, Drew Westerfield, Zachery Westerfield, and Kalyn Montgomey; and her five great-grandchildren.
Joan attended Faith Assembly Church in Jeffersonville, IN. Her faith was her greatest comfort.
A private service and burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40213.
