Obituary for John Carter

CARTER, JOHN CRAIG, 33, of Mt. Washington, KY, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010.
Born June 25, 1976 in Lexington, KY, he was the devoted father of Aidan and Mackenzie Carter, beloved son of Deborah Clark and Gary Carter (Nancy), and beloved brother of Kelly Carter Morrison (Andy).
He was employed by UPS of Louisville as a Load Planner, had a special gift for working with children, and was an avid and lifelong University of Kentucky sports fan.
In addition to his children, parents, sister, and friends, John is survived by his niece, Grace Morrison, nephew, Luke Morrison, paternal grandparents Margaret and Robert Carter Jr., as well as three stepsisters, a stepbrother, aunts, uncles, cousins and their children.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lindsey Clark, and by his maternal grandparents, Opal and John Letford.
Rev. John J. Stoltz of St. Gabriel The Archangel will preside over a graveside service at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Calvary Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Road, Louisville. Friends, family, and friends of family are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John Carter's name to The Jeannie Cockerel Playground Fund at the St. Gabriel Child Care Center, 5505 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40291. (Phone 502-239-5481)
