Obituary for Joseph Eugene "Gene" Kelty
Joseph “Gene” Kelty, 74 of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, August 21st, 2022. Gene loved the time he spent on the golf course with his buddies, and admiring the ocean with Debbie.
He was always quick with a joke, and his laugh was contagious. Time with family was most important to Gene, and his big smile shined the brightest when he was with his grandchildren and the ones he loved.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jesse Kelty and his parents, Jay and Lillian Kelty.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Debbie Kelty, his children, Dustin Kelty (Christina), Jordan Kelty, Jennifer Kelty-Fitzgerald (Danny) and Gina Kelty, 7 grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, Judy Sanneman and two brothers, Richard and Donnie Kelty.
Visitation will be Friday, August 26th from 2-7pm with his Memorial Service at 6pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to Kosair Charities and Norton Children's Hospital.
