Obituary for Joseph A. Linton

Jospeh A. Linton, 87, of Louisville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family who he was devoted to and loved unconditionally on January 29, 2019 at Norton Hospital. He was born June 14, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky. He proudly served his country in the Army.
Dad will always be remembered for extending compassion and grace to others. His quick wit was matched by his zeal for The Rocks, Cubs and Cats!
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dee Gatterdam Linton; and siblings, Kitty Lake, Patsy Chick, George, Jackie, Bobby, & Tommy Linton.
Survivors include his children, Jo-Dee Jackson (Steve), Daniel Linton, Mary Kay Head (Gary), Norman Linton (Karen), Tony Linton; a sister, Judy Hardy; grandchildren, Tim, Laine, & Kyle Jackson, Michael, Caileigh, & Alex Linton, Daniel & Brian Head (Rachel), Patrick Linton; & 5 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Friday, February 1, 2019 at St. John Paul II, 3521 Goldsmith Lane, Louisville, Ky 40220. Visitation will be 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY 40205.
