Obituary for Kathleen Frances Sullivan
Kathleen F. Sullivan, age 94, died Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Baptist Health Louisville.
Born in Louisville to the late John and Caroline Smith, she was a graduate of Bellarmine College and a retired RN who worked for Our Lady of Peace. Kate was an avid reader, devoted Catholic who loved her church family, loved her Al-Anon family, and enjoyed knitting and hiking. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Sullivan, Sr.; her son, Thomas Sullivan, Jr.; and two daughters, Mary Sullivan and Theresa Sullivan.
She is survived by her daughter, Elisabeth Anne Sullivan; caregiver, Debbie Ziegler; several loving nieces and nephews and many friends.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 3539 Goldsmith Ln., with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Monday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
