Obituary for Kenneth Thomas Lee

Kenneth Lee, 81, of Louisville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 3, 2018.

Kenneth was a graduate of Louisville Male High School and University of Louisville Speed Scientific School receiving a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a member of the Navy ROTC while attending U of L. Kenneth loved nature and tried to walk two miles a day for energy and health. He was a great lover and respecter of God and helped others in need whenever he could.

He started his working career at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio before transferring to NASA in Houston, Texas. He was a trainer for all new engineers who came into Houston and traveled throughout the U.S. holding conferences and classes. Embracing a new opportunity, he started working for the Department of Energy in Richland, WA. He later retired to Louisville, KY to enjoy a life of travel and rest.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Carl Thomas, Sr.

He is survived by his three children, Janet Thomas, N.J., Gregory Thomas and Scott Thomas (Shannon), WA.; brother, Carl Thomas, Jr. and six grandchildren.

His funeral service is private.
