Obituary for Kimberly VonderHaar
Kimberly Jo VonderHaar died peacefully on January 28, 2021, at the Masonic Home. She was 61.
She is preceded in death by her father.
Kim was the second daughter of Jack VonderHaar and Maryrose Laun. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Pat, Hedat (Jimmie), Laure (Jim), Jacki (Pat) and Carin (George). Her memory will be cherished by her nieces and nephews: Eric (Adelaide), Sara, Patrick (Courteney), Moran (Mike), George Jr., Jackaroo, and Willy; along with countless aunts, uncles and cousins. Kim was a devoted nurse for many years, but her love of her nieces and nephews was her greatest joy.
Unfortunately, dementia was a battle too large to overcome. We are truly grateful to the Hosparus staff: Jennifer, Karen and Raphel; and the Masonic Home nurses, Brooke, Miata, and Kim, and all of our friends at the Masonic Home and Hosparus for their care for Kim. She was truly loved by all.
There will be a memorial celebration at a later date due to COVID 19. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus Health, Masonic Homes Kentucky, and one of her greatest dreams for our country, the U.S. High Speed Rail Association.
