Obituary for Kirk "Kip" Christopher Puryear, Jr.
With deepest sorrow, we announce that Kirk Christopher Puryear, Jr., 20, our beloved son, brother, uncle, family member and friend, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022, while in the hospital. Those who knew Kip, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.
Kip had so much love and goodness, so much capacity to bring happiness to others, and such a bright future in his plans. His foremost passion was his faith in Christ. The world is a lesser place without Kip and he will be missed every day by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his father, Kirk Puryear, Sr.; mother, Paulette (Canaday) Puryear; brothers, Joseph and Seth (Christina); sisters, Shaina, Devany, and Darian; nieces, Amelia and Violet; nephews, Ezra and Silas; grandmothers, Linda Puryear and Marlene Ruby-Suarez; and his many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
We know he is now with his brother, Christopher; grandfathers, Edgar Puryear and William Canaday, Sr.; grandmother, Faye Radcliffe, and is loved here on earth as well heaven.
Visitation for Kip will on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 10am until 1pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., with his service to follow at 1pm. Burial will follow at Floydsburg Cemetery.
