Obituary for Lawrence Collins

COLLINS, LAWRENCE R., 82, of Louisville, passed away Monday, May 17, 2010, with his family at his side.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he was a Navy World War II veteran and a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. Larry was a retired industrial designer with General Electric for 41 years, and was a member of the Elfun Society.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis G. and Elizabeth B. Collins.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, the former Jeanne McKenney; daughters, Katherine J. Collins, Marianne C. Reinhart (Paul) and Jennifer R. Maghinay (David); sons, Mark L. Collins (Jill), Neal T. Collins (Lisa), Paul M. Collins and Kent P. Collins (Susan); 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
His funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1800 Newburg Road with private burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
