Obituary for Linda Ackerman Lewis
Linda A. Lewis, 67 of Louisville passed away on December 7, 2019. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Imogene and Elmer Ackerman, her brother Michael Ackerman, her sister Joy Haswell, as well as her husband, Don Lewis, who was her absolute best friend and love of her life.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving niece; Ashley (Adam) Houkom, her great nephew; Cooper Houkom as well as her cousins; Marsha (Dean) Pierce, Laurie McDonald and Erin Norrenbrock. She made many friends over the years, and all will agree that Linda will truly be missed; especially Donna Uhrig, Becky Capps, Wendy Eukland and Jeremy Cobb.
In addition to her many loving friends, Linda greatly enjoyed decorating, interior design, trips to Destin with Don, and putting a smile on the face of anyone she meets. Her and her husband loved animals with a passion and we can rest easy knowing they now are together playing fetch in Heaven with Misty, Sam, Maggie and Ellie.
Her funeral service will be at the Chapel in the Woods at Southeast Christian Church, 1407 Moser Road, on December 16th at 11 am with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery next to her husband.
Visitation will be on December 15th from 2-8 pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Shamrock Foundation or Center for Women and Families.
