McCARDWELL, LISA DIANE BRUNER, 47, of Louisville, joined her Lord on June 13, 2010, at Christopher East Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Mark McCardwell; her mother, Pamela Bruner Edelen and the late John N. Bruner. She is further preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Catherine McCardwell.
Lisa was very active in her children's sports and cheerleading programs, volunteering for any and all of their activities. She was a long-time resident of Mt. Washington, KY. She was always available to volunteer or help assist in anything she felt necessary, even if not for her children. Her main goal in life, however, was absolute devotion to her four children.
She is also survived by her stepfather, Thomas G. Edelen; her three sons, Jonathon (Stephine) and Joseph Miller (Ashley) and Jake McCardwell; grandchildren, Alexis and Kennedi Miller; her sisters, Tina Marie Bruner and Jennifer Ferro (Ron); her brother, Stephan J. Bruner (Deanna); stepbrothers, Danny Edelen (Jenny) and Aaron Edelen (Andrea); nieces, Caroline and Graylyen Ferro and Brooklynn Bruner, Sean, Meaghan and Tonya McCardwell; nephews, Dean McCardwell and Zachary Bruner; and brother-in-law, Michael McCardwell (Carol).
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
