Obituary for Luanne "Ann" Riddle
Luanne (Ann) Riddle, 86, passed away on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022. She was born in Bardwell, KY to William and Frances Wright. She married the love of her life, BJ Riddle, in 1954. Ann was a member of Woodland Baptist Church. She retired from the Dept. of Veterans Affairs in 1996 after 30 years of service.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 57 years. She is survived by her children, Julie Riddle McCrocklin, Ellen Riddle Kittle and Patrick Riddle; grandchildren, Whitney Caple (Mike), KC Martin (James), Ellen Worley (Ryan), TJ Lechner, Paige Poehler (Nicholas), Zachary Kittle and Jordan Riddle. She also had 8 great-grandchildren: Jimmy, Mary Julia, Tommy, Landis and Olivia Martin, Rowan Sproles, Judah and Ezra Worley, and Hayes Poehler.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Mom's caregiver / friend, Joyce Collins. Her presence gave Mom great peace; and Hosparus Health was a Godsend in guiding us through this uncharted territory with compassion and grace. We all cherished our amazing Mom and will miss her love, friendship, encouragement and humor forever.
Her visitation will be held on Friday, December 2nd, 2022, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with a 12:00 pm service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
