Ilona Lydia Kortz entered this life in Hart County, KY in 1926 and peacefully entered rest on November 9th, 2022 in Louisville.
She attended post-secondary school in Nashville and was the grandchild of a school superintendent. She was a homemaker, storyteller, and perfector of fine chicken and dumplings.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Kortz and Earvin Rodgers; her children Joe, Lisa and Linda; and two grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela Funke and Patty James; her eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Her visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19th, 2022, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
