Obituary for Mark Rau

Mark Douglas Rau, 61, of Louisville, KY, passed away unexpectedly July 9, 2018.

A Louisville native, Mark was an alumnus of Atherton High School and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He worked several years as a painting contractor in the Atlanta area and Indianapolis before returning to Louisville. He was an avid fan of Louisville Cardinals football and basketball. Loved by family and friends, Mark will be missed and remembered, particularly for his fun-loving personality.

Mark is survived by his sister Karen Egger, his brother Tom, his former wife Marcia Cybul, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY 40205. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday at Highlands.
