Obituary for Mary Doris Clayton (Mattingly)
Mary Doris (Mattingly) Clayton of New Hope, KY, passed away Monday, August 23rd, 2021 at Norton Pavilion.
She was born July 24, 1929, and had been a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church since 1960.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Artie and Beatrice Mattingly; her husband, Charlie Clayton; her daughter, Joan Clayton Gill; and her great-granddaughter, Jada.
She is survived by her sons, Bernie (Karla), George (Mary), Artie (Sharon), Donnie, Joe (Gayle) and Danny (Lisa), sister-in-law, Leona Lyvers, 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, two step grandsons, and one step granddaughter.
Visitation will be 2-8 pm, Thursday, August 26th, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Her funeral Mass will be Friday, 10 am ,at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1395 Gerard Drive, Louisville, KY 40222. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Research Jimmy V. Foundation, or St. Albert the Great Catholic Church.
