Mary Jewell (Zink) Purlee, 92, of Louisville died peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at her home. She was born in Salem, Indiana to Azro Ernest and Sarah Louise-(Bullington) Zink.
Mary was a homemaker, an accomplished seamstress, and was retired from the office at K-Mart. She was a member of Valley Station Church of Christ and later in life Eastland Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Claire Purlee; brothers, Ernest Eugene and Harold Lee Zink; sister, Martha Jane Collins.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Patricia Yvonne Purlee, who was her devoted caregiver, Rita Sue Ritchie, who also cared for her, and Cynthia Laine Greenwell, who made all the necessary decisions for her care and well-being; sister, Virginia Elizabeth Jarrett, of St. Louis, MO.; granddaughter, Rhonda Sue Williams of Glasgow, KY.; great grandchildren, Madeline Jewel and Conner Lee Williams of Glasgow, KY.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 26 from 3:00 - 8:00 pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY. 40205
Her funeral service will be 10:00 am. Tuesday, November 27 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, 2779 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN. 47150
