SCHRECK, Mary Birkel, 89, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Baptist Hospital East.
She was a loving wife and mother, a member of St. Anne’s Alter Society and St. James Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister and was also on the Bereavement Committee.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ray P. Schreck, Sr.; sons, Mark (Kevin), Robert (Mary Ellen), Larry (Gail), Bill (Rose), Ray, Jr. (Johanna), and Paul (Debbie); daughters, Marilyn Armes (Michael) and Peggy Stofferahn (Brad) ; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her Mass will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 30 at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 1520 Hepburn Ave. with inurnment to take place at a later date. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
