Obituary for Michael Wayne Nett
Michael Wayne Nett, 74, of Lexington Kentucky, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024. He was born on March 26, 1950 in Louisville Kentucky, the son of Agnita Bryan and Carl Raymond Nett. A graduate of DeSales High School, he was drafted and served his country during the Vietnam War.
During his career, he worked in the movie theater business and retired from Cinemark in 2017. Michael enjoyed his work and countless home improvement projects (some finished and some… pending), but he most enjoyed, and will be remembered for, the time spent with his family.
One of twelve children, he was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Patrick, Ronnie, Billy, Tommy, Paul, Fred, and Kenny Nett; and nephews, Patrick Thomas and Charles Patrick Nett.
He is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Kathy Ann Lamb; siblings Carl, David, Mary, and Danny; children, Jeremy (Tina), Brandon, and Kirsten (Will); grandchildren, Gabriel, Conner, Morgan, James, Michael, Katelyn, Caroline, Shelby, and Charlotte; and a large extended family.
Visitation will be Friday, April 12, 4:00 - 8:00 pm, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, KY 40205.
His funeral Mass will be Saturday, April 13th, at 10:00 am, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3938 Poplar Level Road, Louisville, KY 40213.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lexington, Kentucky, at a later date.
