Obituary for Michael Joseph "Mike" Schuler
Michael Joseph Schuler, 71, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, December 9th, 2020.
Mike graduated from Bishop David High School, class of 1967. He later enlisted in the United States Army where he entered at Ft. Knox and later he received medical training in San Antonio, Texas. Upon completion, he was sent to Landstuhl, Germany, where he was a medic and later became a company clerk.
During his time in Germany, he was awarded a commendation for his service in support of the Army Medical Command. After his service, he returned to Louisville where he met the love of his life, Sherry McIntyre, and he completed his bachelors degree from the University of Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Terry and LaVerne Schuler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sherry Schuler; his loving son, Joe Schuler (Karti); one sister, Barbara Gillum (Fred); sisters-in law, Barbara McIntyre (Jerry Lyvers), Sandy Bianchi; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Due to COVID restrictions, visitation and services will be private.
