Obituary for Milton Louis KAELIN

88, of Buechel, died Monday, January 18, 2010 at Richwood Nursing Home in LaGrange. Born in Louisville, he was a decorated Army paratrooper in World War II, retired chief machinist at Naval Ordinance and a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Brocar Kaelin and siblings Paul, Norman, Teuline, Doris, Helen, Anita and Ruth. He is survived by his sons, Milton "Matt" Kaelin Jr. (Jean) and Tom Kaelin (Barbara); sisters, Carolyn Ludwig and Ann Bess; grandchildren, Colleen, John, Paul (Andrea), David (Alena), Steve (Becky), Jennifer Luhrs (Adam), Kristen and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Courtney, Drew, Claire, Kyle, Megan, Peyton, Sophia and Ben. His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2010 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2042 Beuchel Bank Rd., with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Expressions of Sympathy may be made to Home of the Innocents. With a great deal of appreciation for the loving care by the staff at Richwood Nursing Home.
