Obituary for Mohammad Mahdavi

On a beautiful Father’s Day — Sunday, June 19, 2022, we lost our beloved husband and father, Mohammad E. Mahdavi (Masoud). He was lovingly surrounded by his wife and two children.

Born on October 24, 1950 in Shahi, Iran, Masoud was loved by many all over the world. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Pamela and his devoted, loving children, Shahla, and Bryan Hassan (Ryan Droste). He is also survived by his dedicated family, Ashraf (Baghar), Naser (Mahnaz), Masoumeh (Habeeb), Seemeen, Naheed (Habeeb), Zahra (Mohammad), and Shaheen (Asghar). Masoud is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and friends all over the United States, Iran, and many other countries. He was preceded in death by his brother, Hooshang, his mother, Zaynab, and his father, Hassan.

Masoud immigrated to the United States in 1976, and graduated with a Computer Science degree from Bellarmine University in 1984. He owned and operated many businesses during his life, the most recent, Simtechs. He loved his work, being innovative, and providing for his clients.

If he wasn’t with his family or at work, he could often be found caring for others, tending to his garden, or preparing fantastic meals.

He was a mentor and a loyal friend who touched the lives of countless individuals. On one of his final days, he left us with a beautiful reminder of his life’s philosophy — ”Life is very short. Enjoy every moment. Everyone should like everyone, because I love all of you.”

There will be a memorial visitation held on Sunday, June 26th from 2-6p at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Friend for Life Cancer Support Network.
