Obituary for Norma Louise Walden Pennington
Norma Louise Walden Pennington, 81, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019.
She was retired after 28 ½ years from Second Presbyterian Weekday School. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and Kentuckiana Square Dance Association. She was also a round dancer.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Lula (Kaufman) Walden; husband, Charles M. Pennington and brother, Melvin Leroy Walden.
She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Kemp (Michael) and Theresa Wright (Tim); grandchildren, Rachel, Jessica, Christopher, Blaine and Cole; eight great-grandchildren and brothers, Robert Walden and Kenneth Walden (Mary).
Her funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Monday at Highlands.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or WHAS Crusade for Children.
