Obituary for Patricia Ann Cantrell (Hardin)

It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Cantrell. Patty was born on February 16th, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky, and was welcomed into the loving arms of God on Saturday, January 16, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, William B. Hardin, and her mother, Thelma A. Hardin.

Patty was the unconditional love and the keeper of her husband’s heart, a deeply caring mother to her daughter, Kristin, and an exceptional grandmother to her granddaughter, Addison. Patty had an uncanny ability to talk to anyone with ease and confidence, and she will be greatly missed by the many people whose lives she touched. She was a wonderful gardener, an animal lover, and adored yellow roses.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Charles Daniel Cantrell; her daughter, Kristin Danielle Simon (Andrew); her granddaughter, Addison; siblings, William Hardin (Darlene), Thelma M. Haley (Bob), Douglas Hardin (Carmen), and Michael Torstrick (Jenny); mother-in-law, Earlene R. Cantrell; sisters-in-law, Deborah Fowler (Fred), Robin L. Siegwald (Jimmy), and Tammy Williams; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her.

There will be an extra star in the sky tonight as Patty shines down upon us from Heaven.
Patty was a proud supporter of the Kentucky Humane Society and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Patty’s honor to these worthy causes.

Services will be held privately.
