Obituary for Patricia Robinson Boyles Eckerle
Patricia Robinson Boyles Eckerle passed away December 13, 2020, at the age of 88. She was born December 15, 1931 in Louisville, KY.
Pat, as she was known, was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lula Mae Robinson; brother, John Robinson; husband, Bud Eckerle; and her son, Greg Boyles. Pat and Bud enjoyed 23 wonderful years together. They traveled the world and spent much time at their second home on Sanibel Island.
Pat had a wide variety of interests. She played the piano and organ, and did volunteer work for many schools. She also volunteered her services at Baptist Hospital, V.A. Hospital, and the Louisville Zoo. She delivered meals for 7 years at Senior Care. She was a faithful member of Beargrass Christian Church. She was the epitome of a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Pat is survived by her loving son, David (Debbie); grandson, Clint (Jillian); granddaughters, Allyson (Jason) and Jacquelyn (Wes); sister-in-law, Gloria Robinson; nieces, Sherri Brenneman and Kyle Robinson; and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by step-children, Betsy Beiting (Dan), Julie Leppert, Patty Keany (John), Bob Eckerle, Mary Quinn (Tom), Margie Eckerle, thirteen grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be at 10:00am on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., followed by interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2:00 - 8:00pm on Friday, December 18, at the funeral home.
