Obituary for Patricia Anne Marie Westlund (Crutcher)
Dr. Patricia Anne Crutcher Westlund passed away peacefully February 15, 2022 at Baptist Health Louisville.
She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 12, 1958 to the late Rose Lee Bryan Crutcher and Harold Thomas Crutcher.
She is survived by spouse, Arnold Eugene Westlund III; son, Christopher Michael Westlund (Katie White); daughter, Alexandra Elizabeth Westlund (Kriston Reynolds); sisters, Ellyn Crutcher (Tom Moran), Sallie Cowan (Hunt); and brother, Thomas Crutcher (Tamela).
Patricia was a graduate of Assumption High School (1976), the University of Kentucky (Chemical Engineering 1983) and the University of Kentucky College of Medicine (1996). Patricia was a Manager at Proctor and Gamble in Lexington, Kentucky. (1983-1990).
Ever the rebel, Patricia, aka “Doc”, blessed the people around her with a nonstop sense of humor, determination, courage and an adventurous spirit. An avid runner, soccer player and travel enthusiast, Patricia especially loved the Outer Banks.
She belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution, Lexington Chapter.
She was a true Blue fan of the Kentucky Wildcats.
A massive stroke in 1999 ended Patricia's medical career prematurely, but her passion for scientific research continued with the donation of her brain to The Human Brain and Spinal Fluid Resource Center at UCLA.
Her family thanks the gentle, sensitive staff of both the Baptist Health Louisville Palliative Care unit and her Hosparus team.

Patricia’s funeral mass will be held at 11 am Saturday April 9, 2022, St. Agnes Catholic Community (1920 Newburg Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40205), with interment at Calvary Cemetery and a reception at the Parish Center immediately following to celebrate Patricia’s life.
