Obituary for Paul G. Veasey
Paul G. Veasey, 86, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
Paul grew up in Louisville, KY and attended Flaget High School before joining the Air Force. He was a retired supervisor for Lorillard Tobacco Company and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He especially loved boating, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was a great "Paw-Paw" and enjoyed attending events in support of his grandchildren. His sense of humor was one of a kind and he enjoyed making others laugh.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary (Parker) Veasey; and his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura (Strader) Gordon; children, Theresa Bascom (Richard), Robin Veasey (Jim Davis), and Michael Veasey (Alicia); grandchildren, Eryn Derbin (Chase), Michael Lynch (Katie), Braeden Veasey, Alexander Bascom, Richard Bascom, and Lena Veasey; great-grandchildren, Parker Derbin and Madison Derbin; step-children, Billy Gordon, JR. (Stephanie Westerfield) and Pamela McKinley (Jerry Jones); and siblings, Tyler Veasey (Mary), Margaret Greenwell, Bill Veasey (JoAnn), and John Veasey (Cathy).
His funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Hwy.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
