Obituary for P.J. Connolly
Peter John (P.J) Connolly, Jr. died Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at University Hospital after sustaining a traumatic head injury,
He was born in Saginaw, MI on November 26, 1963 and grew up in Saginaw Township. As a young boy, he achieved the Merit Award in Boy Scouts. He graduated from Douglas MacArthur HIgh School in 1981. He attended Northwestern University, was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and received a Bachelor's Degree in 1985. He moved to San Francisco and, combining his life long passions for reading and technology, wrote for the leading publications in the industry for over thirty years. On December 21, 2013, he married Danita Connolly and moved to her hometown of Louisville, KY.
He is survived by his wife; his mother, Florence P. Connolly; his sisters, Mary Cameron (Jeffrey) Drejza, Katharine (Brett) Aarnio; his brothers, Michael (Julie) Connolly and Edward Connolly. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Peter John Connolly.
Per his wishes, he has been cremated. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Church, 3345 Lexington Rd., Louisville KY on Saturday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m., with burial at a later date.
