Obituary for Ralph Anthony Henderson

Henderson, Ralph, 86, died peacefully on August 20th, 2022 after a long illness.

He was born in Louisville, KY, the 4th of 5 children. Ralph was a man of so many talents. He could teach, build and fix anything he put his mind to and always left things better than he found them. He had a soft heart for animals. He was a triple cancer survivor for many years.

He had several careers in his long life. He was a proud Marine during the Korean War and was stationed at Camp Lejeune. He went on to work at South Central Bell, then began his own business after retirement. He was the founder of Henderson Antiques and was a meticulous master at rebuilding and refinishing antique furniture. He lives on in each beautiful piece.

He now joins his recently deceased son, Steve, and leaves behind his wife JoAnne (married 64 years), daughter, Laura, son-in-law Bob Forst, and his beloved cat, Sadie. We will miss him every day.

Visitation will be 4 pm - 7 pm Sunday, August 28th, 2022 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. There will be a private burial at Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oldham County Humane Society or Alley Cat Advocates.
