Obituary for Ramona Ann Maupin (Kirkpatrick)
Ramona Ann Kirkpatrick Maupin, 77, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 15, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Chester Kirkpatrick and Anna Mae Hardin; and her granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Stiles.
Ramona was a graduate of Presentation Academy and the University of Kentucky. She was a Registered Nurse for 40 years and retired from the Commission for Handicapped Children. She was an avid reader, a shopping enthusiast, she loved cooking, and appreciated all living things.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donald Maupin; daughter, Dana Stiles (Jimmy); grandsons, Shane and Sean Stiles; granddaughter, Julie Lyons; brothers-in-law, Danny and Mark Maupin; special friends, Patricia Lage and Shannon Kaufman; and many other friends and family members.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 18, from 2:00 – 8:00pm at the funeral home.
