Richard D. Filley Sr., 75, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2018. He was a devoted family man and was retired from General Electric.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Janice Beckham Filley; children Barbara Kempf (Tom), Marie Byrne (Jeff), Richard Jr. (Sherry), and Annie Boehnlein (Jerry); grandchildren Timothy (Chelsea), Matthew, Jeffery, Alexa, Jackson, Hunter, Luke, and Bella; great-grandchild Callen; brother David; countless in-laws and out-laws, and a large extended family. Richard never met a stranger.

Visitation will be Friday from 2-8pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. The funeral mass will be Saturday at 10am, at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Pius X), 3521 Goldsmith Ln.
