Obituary for Richard Joseph Maloney, Sr.
Richard “Rich” Joseph Maloney, 95, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Rich was a WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Corps. He retired from South Central after 40 years of service and was a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Margaret “Margie” Maloney.
He is survived by his sons, Richard Maloney, Jr. (Lynn) and Glenn Maloney (Tammy Dockery); his daughter, Janet Sauer (Kevin); his sister, Martha Brinkhaus; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Bromback (Matt) and Justin Sauer.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 508 Breckenridge Ln., with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 -7 p.m. on Monday, May 22 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
