MUELLER, MARY RITA HELEN WAHL "RITA," 89, of Louisville, passed away May 28, 2010 at Episcopal Church Home.
Born in Louisville, Rita was the daughter of the late Henry Peter and Anna Magdalen Biever Wahl. A graduate of Ursuline Academy, she was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother, homemaker, a retired Census Bureau employee, and a devoted member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Rita lived a long productive life and her sweet spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Rita taught each of her children to play the piano, fostering a love for music and to cherish their faith and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years (Elmer), and two of her brothers, Edward and Robert Wahl.
Survivors include her three children, Bob Mueller (Kathy); Anne Mueller Bentley (Chuck) and Tom Mueller (Margie); five grandchildren, Chris, Amy, Stephen, Charles, and Matthew; two brothers, Jerome Wahl (Alice) and Bill Wahl; and three sisters, Jeanette Wahl, Margie Wahl Nevitt and Sister Siena Marie Wahl, M.S.B.T.
Rita's funeral Mass will be Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 3402 Hikes Lane, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, from 2-8 p.m. at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
